Started As Side Project By Jeff McCollough In 1998 The Project Took A Backseat To Several Other Endeavors. After A Year Jeff Had Literally Worked On Over 25 Recordings. He Would Work Long Into The Night Using Various Vintage Technology To Create The Sonic Atmospheres. He Added The Skills Of Ben Madonna On The Drums Making Blackpool Astronomy A Band Instead Of Of A Solo Project. The Band Released It's First Release In 2010. The Entire Album Dealt With The Hopelessness Experienced On All Sides Of The Iraq War. The First Release Has Industrial Overtones But Jeff And Ben Found Themselves Moving Farther To A Smoother Sound Influenced By The Experimental Music They Both Enjoyed And The Space Rock And Shoe Gaze Jeff Had Been A Massive Fan Of His Since His Late Teens. In 2014 They Recorded The Songs That Proved They Indeed Were A Shoe Gaze Band And Since This Recording They Have Enjoyed Air Play On Stations In The United States And In Europe. They Are Currently Hoping To Release The Album In The Very Near Future. read less
