Occasionally A Band Will Arrive Without The Hype Without The Pretence And Will Let Their Music Speak For Itself. Unleashing Their Debut EP Melbourne Act Borne Deliver With A Heartfelt Collection Of Rock Tunes Which Display A Kind Of Emotion Rarely Captured In Modern Rock. After Forming In 2003 Borne Have Spent Their Time Refining Their Sound And Building A Memorable Live Show. The Band Headed To Byron Bay In Late 2004 To Lay Down Their Tracks In Studio 301 Under The Guidance Of ARIA Nominated Producer Mike Stangel. What Resulted Was An Eclectic Yet Coherent Set Of Tracks Pioneering The Borne Sound. On 13 June 2008 Cameron Tapp Flew From Australia To Perform "The Guide" For A Wedding In Fargo North Dakota. The Wedding Couple Had Heard The Song On ITunes And Attempted To Find The Sheet Music Online So That It Could Be Performed At Their Nuptials. Having Difficulty Doing So Because Tapp Does Not Read Or Write Music The Couple Emailed The Band Via Their Website Inquiring About The Availability Of The Song. Tapp Himself Responded Jokingly Saying The Couple Could Fly Him To The United States To Perform At Their Wedding. The Couple Decided To Skip Their Honeymoon And Instead Used The Money Saved For It Approximately $3000 USD To Purchase Tapp An Airline Ticket.
