Buon Vecchio Charlie Was An Italian Progressive Rock Band Formed In 1970 In Rome Italy. In 1971 The Band Entered The Studio To Record Tracks For Their Debut Album. The Quality Is Good And The Disc May Well Be Amongst The Best Productions Of That Period But Despite The Involvement Of Various Manufacturers The Work Was Not Printed. Disappointed By This State Of Affairs The Group Broke Up In 1972. All The Members Have More Or Less Remained In The Music Business Some As Session Musicians. The Keyboardist Sandro Centofanti Has Continued His Career In Libra. Their Debut Album "Buon Vecchio Charlie" Was Finally Released In 1990 On CD Thanks To The Label Melos. It Contains Three Tracks. The First Piece Is Taken From Grieg's Peer Gynt A Reworking Supported By Excellent Rock Guitar Licks Hammond And Flute. The Third Track Is Rather A Good Example Of Folk-Rock Fusion Which At Times Recalls The Sounds Of Premiata Forneria Marconi. In 1999 Akarma Released The Album On Vinyl And CD With A Different Cover Also Including Two Bonus Tracks Performed By Beppe Palomba. Members Richard Benson - Vocals Guitar
