Chasing Andromeda Is The Music Project Of Michael Michalski Born 1959 Highland Park IL USA . Michalski Grew Up In A Musical Environment In Lexington OH His Mother Being An Excellent Concert Violinist In Her Youth. She Influenced Him With Her Very Eclectic Palate Contributing Heavily To His Decision To Study Music At Bowling Green State University. Michalski Was Primarily A Brass Player But Also Showed Interest In Strings And Keyboards. In 1985 Michalski Was Introduced To MIDI Using A Casio CZ-101 And A Commodore 64. Since Then He Has Consistently Upgraded His Studio And Is Now Primarily Software Based. In 2004 Michalski Turned To Electronica. His Own Musical Tastes Are Extremely Eclectic And His Compositions Show Influences As Far Reaching As Thelonious Monk And Moby. While His Productions Still Run The Gamete With Regards To Genre The Majority Of His Tracks Are Now Either Dance-Oriented Or Downtempo. He Is Heavily Influenced By Big Beat And The Trip-Hop/lounge Scene.
