La Banda Se Formo El 19 De Marzo De 2004. Pacho Y Ruben Se Reunieron En La Casa De Ivan Para Escuchar La Version Original De M.E. A Deibe Y A Pacho Les Gusto La Cancion Asi Que Decidieron Montarla Y Empezar La Banda. Aun Sin Nombre Comenzaron A Componer Y A Grabar Caseramente Las Canciones Y Lanzaron Su Primer Demo De 5 Canciones. El Nombre Lo Sacaron De Un Afiche Contra La Guerra De Irak Que Trajo De Francia Un Amigo De Pacho. Citoyens Por Supuesto Significa Ciudadanos. En Abril Del 2005 Francisco Rojas Deja La Agrupacion Para Continuar Sus Estudios En Argentina. Tras Este Suceso Ivan Y Ruben Se Ponen En La Tarea De Buscar Un Nuevo Bajista Que Se Acople Perfectamente A Sus Espectativas Y Es Entonces Cuando Hacen Contacto Con David Ramirez Quien Era Compañero De Estudio De Andres Chavez Primo De Ivan David Fue A Verlos En Un Concierto Y Le Gusto Mucho El Estilo De Citoyens Asi Que Todos Decidieron Ensayar Una Mañana En La Casa De Ivan Y A Pesar De Que David No Sabia Que Esperar La Respuesta Fue Positiva Y Se Quedo En La Banda. Luego De Unas Cuantas Presentaciones Se Fueron Acoplando A La Nueva Formacion Y A Mediados De Junio De 2005 Decidieron Grabar El Ep Llamado "No Importa" El Cual Contiene 9 Canciones. En Octubre Del 2006 Lanzan Su Segundo Ep Titulado "No Hay Salida" El Cual Tuvo Una Buena Respuesta Por Todos Los Seguidores. En Diciembre De Este Mismo Año Rubén Por Motivos Personales Deja La Banda Y David E Iván Deciden Hacer Audiciones Para Encontrar Al Baterista Que Mejor Se Acople Al Grupo. David Le Avisa A Un Amigo De Él Llamado Andrés Matiz Y Al Final De Las Audiciones Termina Por Decisión Unánime Quedándose En La Banda. Estos Jovenes Han Tenido El Privilegio De Tocar En Ciudades Como Bogota Medellin Tunja Sogamoso Barranquilla Santa Marta Y Villavicencio. Citoyens Siempre Se Ha Caracterizado Por Su Estilo Único De Composición Melodías Pegajosas Y Una Gran Energía En Vivo. Lo Más Importante De Estos Tres Jóvenes Es Su Calidad Humana Su Sencillez Su Creatividad Extrema Su Visión Del Mundo Y Sobre Todo La Amistad Que Los Une Dentro Y Fuera Del Escenario. Even Without A Name They Began To Compose And To Make Homemade Recordings Of Their Songs And Released Their First Demo Of 5 Songs. The Name Of The Band Comes From A Poster Against The War In Iraq That A Pacho..S Friend Brought From France. Citoyens Of Course Means Citizens. In April Of 2005 Francisco Pacho Leaves The Band To Continue His Studies In Argentina. After This Event Ivan And Ruben Start Looking For A New Bass Player Who Fulfills Their Expectations And Is Then When They Make Contact With David Ramirez Who Was A Study Companion Of Andres Chavez Ivan..S Cousin David Went To See Them At A Concert And He Liked Their Music A Lot So They All Decided To Rehearse One Morning At Ivan..S House And Although David Didn..T Know What To Expect The Answer Was Positive And He Stayed In The Band. After A Few Shows They Got Used To The New Line Up And In The Middle Of June They Decided To Record The Ep Called "No Importa" Which Contains 9 Songs . In October Of 2006 Launch Their Ep Called "No Hay Salida" It Has A Great Answer In The People. On December Of The Same Year Ruben Decides To Leave The Band David And Ivan Decided To Make A Contest To Get The New Drummer.David Talks With A Friend Andres Matiz And At The End They Decided That Andres Was The Best To Stay In Citoyens.These Kids Have Had The Privilege To Play In Cities Like Bogota Medellin Tunja Sogamoso Barranquilla Santa Marta And Villavicencio. Citoyens Always Has A Defined Style Of Composition Catchy Melodies And Energy With People.
