Artist Biography For Dana Countryman

Dana Countryman Is A Seattle-Based Musician And Composer Who Has Most Recently Recorded And Toured With Electronic Pop Music Legend Jean-Jacques Perrey. Perrey And Countryman Released Their CD "The Happy Electropop Music Machine" On Oglio Records In 2006. They Followed That With Another CD "Destination Space" Also For Oglio Records In 2008. Perrey And Countryman Performed Concerts Together In Berlin Germany Seattle San Francisco Stavanger Norway Newcastle Upon-Tyne England New York City Montreal Canada And Hollywood. The Duo Stopped Recording And Touring Together In Late 2008 Due To Perrey's Problems With His Health. Earlier On Countryman Performed In Many Bands Including THE AMAZING PINK THINGS A Comedy Cabaret Act That Appeared Twice On THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW And Was Featured Regularly On Radio's "THE DOCTOR DEMENTO SHOW". Countryman Recorded His First Solo MOOG CD For Oglio Records In 2010 And He Wrote A Biography On The Life Of His Mentor Jean-Jacques Perrey Which Was Published The Same Year. Perrey And Countryman's Tune "Chicken On The Rocks" Was Used On The Comedy Central TV Show "SOUTH PARK" As Well During 2010. In 2012 Countryman And His Wife Tricia Recorded And Released "In Harmony" An Album Of Jazz Harmony Vocal Music A La "The Manhattan Transfer". In 2013 He Recorded And Released An Album Of Original Vocal Pop Songs In The Styles Of The '60s And '70s Called "Pop! The Incredible Fantastic Retro Pop World Of Dana Countryman". The Album Was Selected As One Of The "Best Of 2013" By The International Pop Overthrow Web Site.
