His Current Music Is Entirely Instrumental And Falls Somewhere Between The Psychedelic Rock Of Early Pink Floyd And The Ambience Of Brian Eno But With Many Layers Of Acoustic Folk Instruments Interwoven With The Electronics Giving It A Fresh And Unique Sound. His Scores Have Been Used By Film Producers Modern Dance Companies Theater Troupes And Educational Media. Barnes Is A Recipient Of Grants From The Pennsylvania Council On The Arts Pew Charitable Trust Meet The Composer The Individual Performing Artist Program And 2 Fellowships From The MacDowell Artist Colony.
