Deanmoore Is A Dutch Progressive Rock Band From Lichtenvoorde The Netherlands Consisting Of Nils Wiegerinck Vocals Guitar Harmen Stortelder Bass And Roel Stoltenborg Drums . The Music Is Characterized By Great Dynamics Heavy Guitars Quieter Passages And Tempo Changes.
2007 – 2012 • The Beginning
After The Band Was Formed In 2007 And Playing Several Shows In Local Venues And Bars Deanmoore Was Ready To Release Their First EP “When Everything Seems Familiar” In 2009. Releasing This EP Was The Band’s First Attempt To Do Everything Themselves. Be Self-Sufficient As Much As Possible This Would Become A Preferred Way Of Working For Many Recordings To Come. In The Summer Of 2010 Their Second EP Titled “The Storm Is Over” Was Released Which Got Airplay On Multiple National Radio Stations Including 3FM KINK And Radio 538. In The Following Year The Band Released Their EP “Caught In The Moment” Followed By A Tour Of 16 Shows Through The Netherlands And Germany. The EP Was Very Well Received And Resulted To The Opportunity To Perform Live On The Popular Radio Show Called “Ekdom In De Nacht” On National Radio Station 3FM In 2012. 2012 – 2018 • Hiatus And Illusions
After The Show At Paaspop April 2012 The Band Was In Disarray. With Nils Gone To Deal With Personal Problems And Former Guitarist Arjen Stortelder Leaving The Group Things Had To Be Figure Out… Continue Or Close The Book Here? It Would Take Almost Two Years For The Band To Return To The Scene. In October Of 2013 The Band Played An Invitation Only Show For Family And Friends At Their Local Music Studio To Announce Their Comeback As A Three Piece And Had Evolved Matured And Grown And This Would Reflect In Their More Progressive Sound. Where Previous EPs Were Written Recorded And Played Live The Band Chose A Different Approach This Time Around By Playing The New Songs Live And Let Them Evolve To Their Best Form. Their Live Shows Got Noticed And The Band Won The “Achterhoek Band Competition” Which Got The Them A Spot At The Huntenpop Festival In The Summer Of 2014. In The End Of 2014 The Power Trio Went Back Into The Studio To Start Recording Their Fourth EP “Illusions”. Self-Recorded And Mixed And Mastered By Jochem Jacobs Split Second Sound Former Guitarist At Textures The Sound Was Raw Energetic And More Complex Than Any Of Their Previous Work. The Band Organized Sold Out Release Show For 300 Fans At A Local Concert Hall And The “Illusions” EP Got Plenty Of Good Reviews Like “Wonderful Dynamic Rock With A Sophisticated Balance Of Quiet Passages And Pounding Riffs Which Will Give You Neck Pain If You Are Not Careful. After Multiple Live Shows And The Success Of Their “Illusions” EP The Band Went Back Into The Studio To Start Working On New Material. A Lot Of New Material Got Written And A Lot Got Tossed Out. The Bandmembers Became Quite Comfortable In Studio And Didn’t Feel The Need To Play Live And Concluded That Playing Live Didn’t Gave Them The Satisfaction That Creating And Arranging In The Studio Did. Time Flies When You’re Having Fun. In The Summer Of 2019 Rumors Started To Spread That The Band Was Dead And No Longer Active But Nothing Could Be Further From The Truth. In The Meantime The Band Was Actively Recording And Producing Two Singles Both 7 Minute Tracks. 2020 – Present • Guess Who’s Back?
In April Of 2020 The Band Announced Their First Of Two Upcoming Singles Titled “Cannot Run / Cannot Hide” Which Is Scheduled To Be Released On May 1st 2020.
