Goodnight Lonesome by Drugstore Volcano

Artist Biography For Drugstore Volcano

Drugstore Volcano Antiprise Records Is A Collaboration Between William Head And Sebastian Deledda. All Songs On The Debut Album "Suburban Pools" 2006 Were Co-Written By Head And Deledda With Head Focusing Mainly On Lyrics And Vocals And Deledda Playing Most Of The Instruments. The Two Also Acted As Engineer And Producer. The Vibe Of The Album Is Primarily Laid-Back Rock With An Alternative/indie Approach To The Musical Performance And Production. Like Most Other Antiprise Releases The Songs Have A Genuine Authentic Feel And Display A General Disregard For Current Musical Trends. The Musical Styles On The Album Span From Classic Rock-Inspired Blistering Guitar Solos On "The Optimist" And "Happy End" To Acoustic Folk And Country Twang On "Hell To Pay" And "New Mexico". But Just As Notable Are The Tracks That Feature Head And Deledda's Grasp Of And Respect For Restraint And Subtlety Especially Considering The Impressive Musical Abilities Of These Primarily Solo Artists . The Songs "Like The Water" "Goodnight Lonesome" "Cadillac Car" And "Suburban Pools" Feature Lush Tones Reserved Playing Intimate Vocal Passages And Deliver A Surprisingly Powerful Depth Of Mood. Of Course The Nod To Pop/alt/rock That Is "Oh Poor Me" And The Obla De Obla Da-Esque Kazoo-Filled "Yellow Brains" Are Well Written Songs That Make For Good Ear Candy As Well.
