Birth Date 21 September 1955
Ducu Bertzi Was Born In Sighetu-Marmatiei. During Elementary School He Studied The Violin For 8 Years At The Local Music School. Since 9th Grade Helped By A Group Of Friends He Started The "Mi Bemol Rock" Band. The Band Used To Perform At High School Parties Playing Covers From Romanian And Foreign Popular Bands. Gradually He Gave Up The Electric Guitar In Favor Of The Acoustic One Because He Didn't Have Access To High-Tech Instruments. In Addition He Was Attracted To The Literary Assembly In His City Discovering The Music Of Poetry. At The First Poetry And Folk Music Festival Sighet - 1973 He Won The 1st Place - "a Suitcase". "The Debut" On A Real Stage Took Place In 1976 In Baia Mare During Manifestations Of "Cenaclul Flacara" Where He Sang Until 1985. During 1976 He Participated At All The Folk Concerts Organized By Casa Studentilor Students' House . In Parallel With This Musical Genre He Also Was The Member Of SONG Coral Band. The First Audio Recording That He Made Took Place At The Radiodifuziunea Romana In November 1979 Its Title Was "Cand S-O-Mpartit Norocu'". This Was The Start Of A Total Of 1200 Shows. After A Period Of Time In Which Folk Music Decayed In 1986 Ducu Bertzi Started Recording New Songs. Most Of Them Became No1 Hits "Si De-Ar Fi" "Floare De Colt" "M-Am Indragostit Numai De Ea" "Suflet Fara Chei" "Omul Padurii". He Was Invited To The Romanian National Television To Shoot Videos For Them.
