F.E.V.E.R. Is A Portuguese Lisbon Based Sci-Fi Rock Band Founded In December 1999 By Luís Lamelas And João Queirós. Their Music Is An Experimental Pop-Logic Mix Of Rock Electronica Industrial And Ambiental Elements. Sometimes Contemplative Sometimes Intense And Cathartic Often With A Sense Of Irony And Sarcasm. Their Debut Full Length Record Is Called “4st_Fourst” And It Was Released In June 2007 By Raging Planet Record Portugal . In The Meantime The Band Released Two EPs “Of Human Bondage” 2001 And “Iconflict” 2003 And A CD With Remixes “Electronics” 2005 Where Relevant Artists In The Portuguese Independent Music Scene Appear With Reinterpretations Of The Songs Of Both EPs. They Have Also Appeared On Three Tribute Records The Cure The Misfits And Mão Morta And In Many Other Releases. This Band Is Tagged In Five Different Ways F.E.V.E.R. Internet Standard F.E.V.E.R. “Resurrection” is ∙F∙E∙V∙E∙R∙’s new single, a preview for the band’s upcoming full length album “Behold A Pale Horse”, to be released during the Winter of 2010.
A digital version of the single will be made available for free download from 09.09.09. The song will also be presented, in the same day, on a virtual gig on Second Life (www.slportugal.com) at 10:00PM GMT.
In order to keep up with the tradition, ∙F∙E∙V∙E∙R∙’s resurrection will also happen in three steps: on September 9th as mentioned above, from October 23rd to November 8th in the Amadora International Comics Festival, FIBDA, and finally during the Winter of 2010 with the release of “Behold A Pale Horse”, the main celebration in this three-step program.
Back on the single itself, the song will also be released on a special CD, to be presented during FIBDA. The Festival, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will include a gig with the boys on its opening day, presenting the new track and inaugurating an exhibition focused on the subject matters of the band’s upcoming album.
The exhibition will include thirteen images of the band by photographer De Sousa, based on the album’s thirteen tracks, various artifacts used on the photo sessions and thirteen pieces of artwork taken from a graphic novel that will be included on the “Behold A Pale Horse” release.
This year’s FIBDA will go on under the motto of “The Great Twentieth – A Reflection on Graphic Novels” a nice opportunity for a collaboration with ∙F∙E∙V∙E∙R∙! To conceal such effort, new exclusive merchandise will be printed and made available especially for the occasion.
