Artist Biography For First Five Minutes Of Betty Blue

The Band Was Formed In 1990 By Rob Hygate And Craig Wilson In The Infamous Cavendish Road Studios In Cambridge. Except For The Very Brief Singing Of 2 Dutch Girls On The Cure Cover "Why Cant I Be You" The Early Singing Was Mainly Done By Craig Wilson. Very Soon After The First Album "Cavendish Road" Was Released In Early 1990 Mike Cimelli Guitar And Mick Marsh Drums Joined The Band Soon Followed By Tom As Lead Singer. The Band Toured The Cambridge Scene And Soon Had A Massive Local Following Playing Gigs In The Unicam SS. Using Some Cover Songs And Their Own Material They Quickly Rose To Local Stardom And After Being Praised As The Next Big Thing In The Local Music Press They Concentrated On Their Own Material And Soon Released Their Next Album "live At The SS". In 1991 They Played Bigger And Better Venues Such As "The Junction" And With The Addition Of A New Band Member Tim Who Lifted The Band With His Tamborine Skills And Stage Dancing Repetoir They Finally Became One Of Cambridge's Hottest Bands Of The 90's. Unfortunately With Bass Player Rob Hygate And The Lead Singer Tom Both Leaving The Band To Follow Other Proffesions The Band Reformed In 1993 As Chew Cambridge With New Band Members Shuan Myhill Bass And Philip E.
