Flor Silvestre Is One Of Mexico's Most Successful Singers And Actresses. Her Singing Voice Is Admired By Fans Throughout The Americas. Her Legacy Includes More Than 300 Recorded Songs Of Various Genres. Her Great Beauty And Charming Personality Graced More Than 70 Films. She Began Her Career In 1943 With A Performance At The Teatro Del Pueblo In Central Mexico City. Two Years Later She Was Called The "Soul Of Ranchera Song". In The Late 1940s She Completed A Long Tour Of Central And South America. In 1950 She Returned To Mexico And Finally Achieved Top Stardom When She Signed Contracts To Record Her First Single Star In Her First Movie And Sing And Host Her Own Radio Program. In 1957 She Recorded One Of Her Most Famous Songs "Cielo Rojo" With The Legendary Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán. In 1964 She Recorded Her Signature Song "Mi Destino Fue Quererte" And Was Named The 8th Most Popular Mexican Folk Singer. In 1966 Her Single "Una Limosna" Peaked At Number One On Record World's Latin American Single Hit Parade Chart That Same Year Her Albums "La Sentimental" And "Celosa" Also Charted Very Well On Record World's Latin American LP Chart. In 1972 She Won The Mexican Record World Award For Best Female Actor-Singer.
