A Contemporary Belgian Folk Music Band Established In The Mid-Nineties The Principal Aim Of Fluxus Is To Create Contemporary Music With Traditional Instruments. With Their “fluid Folk” Which Finds Its Origin In European Rooted Music Fluxus Renders A Unique Sound And Has Established A Name On The Belgian Folk Music Scene. Fluxus Is One Of The Young Flemish Bands Which Has Brought New Life Into Folk Music In Flanders. Fluxus Was Established In The Mid Nineties In The Garriau Household Father Paul His Children Greet And Koen Together With Some Musician Friends Build Up Their Own Repertoire And Soon Become Well Known Through The Annual Folk Music Workshop In Gooik. The Release Of Their First Cd “Pingoeroe” Wbm ’98 Coincides With The Arrival Of A Genuine Folk Boom And Turns Out To Be A Direct Hit. Before Long Fluxus Gains A Steady Live Reputation Both At Home And Abroad.
“One Can Discern Certain Elements Of French And Anglo-Saxon Folk Of The Galician Instrumental Music Of Carlos Nuñez And Even A Touch Of Jan Garbarek.
