The Group Consisted Of Members Mimi Hana Haebin Nayoung Sejeong Sally Soyee And Mina. Member Hyeyeon Officially Departed The Group On October 25 2018. On 30th December 2020 It Was Announced That The Group Would Be Disbanding On The 31st After Over 2 Years Of Inactivity. In January 2016 Nayoung Sejeong And Mina Were Introduced As Jellyfish Entertainment's First Female Trainees On The Mnet Survival Show Produce 101 Where 101 Female Trainees From Various Companies Competed To Debut In An 11-Member Girl Group That Would Promote For A Year Under YMC Entertainment. After Placing Respectively 2nd And 9th In The Final Episode Sejeong And Mina Eventually Debuted As Members Of I.O.I In May 2016. On October 25 It Was Confirmed That Gugudan Would Be Releasing Their First Single Album In November. The Concept For Their Upcoming Comeback Was Inspired By Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. On November 8 2017 Gugudan Released Their First Single Album Act. 3 Chococo Factory. Member Soyee Was Absent From This Comeback Due To A Shoulder Injury. The Album's Title Track Was "Chococo". On January 9 2018 Jellyfish Entertainment Announced That Gugudan Would Make Their First Comeback Of The Year On January 31.
