Artist Biography For Hello Madness

A 360 Artist
My Music Journey Inspired Me To Diversify. Having Started As A Songwriter I Expanded My Abilities To Different Areas In Music With The Goal Of Becoming A Well Rounded Artist Allowing Me To Do What I Am Most Passionate About And Lucky To Call My Life Profession. Nowadays I Can Write Songs Produce Sing Perform Play Keyboards And Make Arrangements. It’s Always A Huge Honor When I Am Asked To Contribute In A Project Because I Am Aware Of The Tremendous Amount Of Work That’s Involved In Creating An Album And The Kind Of Energy And Talent That Has To Come Together To Make The Magic Happen. Every Project Is An Adventure And I Get To Experience It Everyday. Whether I Am Recording Or Touring Or Sharing Knowledge With My Students My Two Constants Are Always Dedication And Passion.
From The Beginning
I Was Only 5 But Somehow I Knew That Music Was Going Be A Permanent Resident In My Life. Music Shouldn’t Be About Competition. So For Me It Began With The Desire Of Being Unique. I Was 11 When My Peers Were Learning How To Play Covers And I Was Writing Songs. It Became My Daily Adventure Together With My Piano And Singing Practice I Could Only Be The Musician That My Music Allowed Me To. I Spent Many Years Exploring Different Music From Commercial Genres To More Obscure Ones. I Have Played Sang And Written Many Songs For Myself As Well As For Others. I Have Produced Recorded And Toured. It Is Still My Daily Adventure.
Storyteller
There Are No Bad Songs Only Wrong Times And Places I Remind Myself Of This Everyday.
Millions Of Stories Are Created Every Moment But Only A Few Will Find The Writer’s Pen. All These Stories That We Call Songs Take A Life Of Their Own And Have One Single Purpose To Engage With People’s Feelings. Just Like They Existed Before The Writer They Transcend Paper To Become Intangible Again To Hopefully Inhabit Other People’s Hearts. This Is What Songwriting Is All About. Aside From Writing For My Own Productions I’ve Also Had The Privilege Of Writing For Great Artists Such As Elfonía Hydra Los Claxons Kira Hooks Rudametkin Felicia Andolong Jacqie Esmii Dogma And Dimension To Name A Few. Every Project Is Different. Each Creative Process Is Unique And Exciting In Its Own Way. Its Unknown Nature Is What Drives Me.
Shout Out To My Mentors
Throughout My Career I’ve Been Fortunate Enough To Have Had The Greatest Mentors. First Were My Parents My Hardest Critics And My Biggest Fans. I Spent My Youth Driving Them Insane With My Music Lessons Writing Songs And Playing With Bands And Although They Didn’t Quite Understand It They Were Always Fully Supportive. Then Came The Extraordinary Jazz Composer And Guitarist Omar Tamez. He Was A True Inspiration Who Taught Me Pretty Much Everything I Know About Music Theory Today. He Was Tough But I Learned The Importance Of Being My Own Critic. After A Few Years I Moved To Los Angeles To Study Vocal Performance And Production At LACM Los Angeles College Of Music . This Is Where I Discovered My Fascination In Orchestration So I Took An Additional Class With The Amazing Howie Shear Tony Bennett Mel Torme Who Taught Me So Much About This New Chapter That I Intentionally Repeated The Class 5 Times! As A Performer Dorian Holley Michael Jackson Rod Stewart Had Great Influence On Me. An Extraordinary Singer With Absolute Control On Stage Who Has Performed To Millions Of People Throughout The World. He Taught Me To Go Beyond My Limits As A Singer And As A Performer And I Have Him To Thank For Learning How To Deliver On The First Attempt. While At LACM I Was Honored To Be Chosen By Tierney Sutton Multi Grammy-Nominee Jazz Artist For Private Singing Lessons. As LACM’s Vocal Department Chair She Later Vouched For The Same Scholarship That Kept Me At School For Another Year. She Also Referred Me To The Mentorship Program With Legendary Producer/songwriter KC Porter Ricky Martin Santana . I Witnessed First Hand His Unique Approach To Working With Cross Over Artists. After I Graduated Tierney Introduced Me To Roger Treece Bobby McFerrin Goo Goo Dolls Who Took My Arrangement Skills To A Whole New Level With His Group Improvisation Techniques. I Keep Meeting Professionals Every Day From Whom I Learn Whether It’s An Artist A Producer A Musician A Student Or A Co-Worker. This Is The Nature Of This Art Form And I Fully Embrace It. All My Mentors Are Responsible For Who I Am Today As An Artist And Musician. So Thank You For Making Me A Better Version Of My “music” Self. Http //www.HelloMadness.Com
