Horst Schroth Was Born On July 29 1948 In Münchberg. He Is A German Cabaret Artist Author And Actor. Initially Schroth Completed A Degree In Business Administration Later Pursuing Studies In History And Social Sciences. During His Academic Years He Worked As A Director's Assistant At The Theater And Later Transitioned To Acting. In The Mid-1970s Schroth Along With Michael Batz Co-Founded The Free Theater Group "Theater Zwischen Tür Und Angel" In Hamburg. This Collaboration Led To Numerous Productions In Street Theater And Children's Theater. From The Mid-1980s Schroth Turned To Cabaret. Initially He Collaborated With Achim Konejung And Michael Batz On Programs Such As "Die Volkszählungsrevue" 1983 And 1987 And "Sex Total" 1987 . From 1989 Schroth Teamed Up With Konejung. In 1989 Their Production "Gnadenlos Deutsch" Premiered Offering A Precise And Politically Satirical Analysis Of German Reunification. In Recognition Of Their Work The Duo Received The Prestigious "Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis" In 1990. In 1999 Schroth Again Received The Award This Time For His Solo Performances Making Him One Of The Few Comedians To Win This Prize Twice.
