Frogtoon Music - Song Info: Three Man Weave

“Three Man Weave” Is The Last Track On Injury Reserve’s Self-Titled LP. The Title Refers To The Basketball Passing Drill Where Three Players Pass To Each Other As They Run Down The Court “weaving” Their Paths Together To Make Them Harder To Guard. This Track Appropriately Includes Several Basketball References And Even Samples Sounds From A Basketball Court. It Also Serves As A Metaphor For The Chemistry Shared Between Producer Parker Corey “P” Stepa J Groggs And Ritchie With A T Which Is Fitting For The Final Track On The Album. Parker Samples Embuscade By Phoenix On This Track. Ritchie Confirms Phonte Indeed Did The Adlibs Throughout This Song Adding A Layer To Their Interpolation Of “Base 4 Your Face” By Lil B That Features Phonte Producer Parker Corey Also Mentions Sampling The Indie Pop Band “Phoenix” With Their Song “Embuscade” For The Outro.
