One Of The First Music Videos I Remember Really Enjoying Was ‘Close To Me’ By The Cure The One Where Robert Smith And The Rest Of The Band Are All Squashed Inside An Old Wooden Wardrobe That Falls Off The Side Of A Cliff. Such An Original Video To Go With An Equally Original Band. ‘Lullaby’ Is My Favourite Cure Song. There Are So Many Different Riffs Going On At The Same Time But They All Blend Effortlessly. Beautiful Strings And A Knife-Edge Baritone Bass Line Really Work Together To Draw You Into The Music. When I Hear This Tune I Imagine A Dark Empty Street At Night Time Like The One Described In Roald Dahl’s ‘The BFG’ Like A Lovely Cosy Nightmare. We Wanted To Make Our Version Of ‘Lullaby’ As Creepy As We Could So We Left It Quite Sparse But Included Some Interesting Sound Effects To Build The Suspense Enter Tim’s Clockwork Toy .

We wanted to make our version of ‘Lullaby’ as creepy as we could so we left it quite sparse but included some interesting sound effects to build the suspense (enter Tim’s clockwork toy).
