Mahi Bukimi Real Name Maksims Borisovs Is Latvian Sound Designer From Liepāja Latvia. His First Musical Experience Was A Graduating In Piano At The Liepāja Musical School In 2000. Taking A Part In The Art Rock Project Karjer Introduced Musician To The Soviet Era Analog Synthesizers And Endless Improvisations. 2001-2003 Were The Years Of Creating And Developing The Sound Studio At Media Laboratory Of The Culture And Information Centre K@2 At Liepāja. It Was A Time Of Making Music For Performances And Films - Suite In Four Parts Written For The International Audio Video Photo And Performing Arts Festival KASte Music For The Playground A Short Film By Ieva Arone Awarded At The One Minute Movies Festival In Amsterdam And Many Other Works Were Created There. A Lot Of The Audio-Visual Workshops With Participation Of Planktons & Aquarell Martinez Gonzalez Alexander Ganja And Many Other Artists Took A Place At Medialab. Taking A Part In The Contemporary Theatre ANET Festival - BLENDING 2002 Organized By The REX B92 Cultural Centre Beograd Serbia Confirmed The Ideas Of Making A Sound For Performances. Interest For The Elements Of The Classic Music Played On Strings And Piano Through The Digital Processing Effects Also Appeared There. The Sound Was Amplified Processed And Prepared For The Participants In The Audio-Visual Way. Since 2006 Collaborating With Kriipis Tulo As The Astrowind Project. At Spring 2007 The First EP Of Astrowind Was Released By Russian Netlable Electrosound. During 2007-2008 In Moscow And Berlin Four Albums Of Astrowind Were Released - Into Vernadsky Somewhere The Music Had Been Played Fresh Wind In The Valley Of Dreams And Der Leuchtturm. In Spring 2008 Together With Kriipis Tulo The Soundtrack To The Dreamers A New Exhibition Of Popular Latvian Painter Ritums Ivanovs Was Presented At The Rīga Gallery.
