Under Filtron M Manu Performs His Compositions With The Two Units Astoria Roots And Unique Afrique Which Are Both Featured On The EP Mandatory Underground Released In November 2014 On True Groove Records. It All Has Been And Continues To Be An Ongoing Adventurous Journey For Manu Koch. His Swiss Upbringing A Home Base In The US For Over 20 Years And Having Resided In China Hong Kong India And Brazil For Extended Amounts Of Time Have Formed His Way Of Thinking And Hearing Music As Much As His Collaborations With Nearly 90 Artists Bands And Projects Throughout His Professional Career. In Recent Years He Has Appeared Internationally And/or Recorded With The Teodora Enache & Benny Rietveld Quintet Kofo The Wonderman & The Daylight Stars The New York Gypsy All-Stars And KJ Denhert Among Others And Has Become A Vital Element In Singer/songwriter/guitarist Tomas Doncker's True Groove Productions. Born In Switzerland In 1972 Manu Studied Classical Piano From Age 6 And Began Studying Tenor Saxophone At The Age Of 18 While Also Attending The Jazz School Lucerne. In 1993 He Attended Berklee College Of Music In Boston Where He Graduated Four Years Later Continued To Work As A Freelance Musician And Relocated To New York In May 2000 Where He Still Lives Today.
