Onewe Hangul 원위 Stylized As ONEWE Is A South Korean Band Formed In 2015. The Band Is Composed Of Five Members Yonghoon Harin Kanghyun Dongmyeong And Giuk Formerly Known By The Stage Name CyA . ONEWE Was Originally Self-Formed Under The Name M.A.S 0094 Make A Sound 0094 Consisting Of The Same Five Members Being 00 The Year Of Birth Of The Youngest Member And 94 Of The Oldest. They Released The Digital Single "Butterfly Find A Flower" Hangul 나비 꽃을 찾다 On August 13 2015 Under Modern Music Dedicated To 'comfort Women' Victims Busked And Donated All Proceeds To Charity To Support These Women. After This They Later Released Two EPs 'Feeling Good Day' In March 2016 And 'Make Some Noise' In January 2017 Which Was Their Last Release As M.A.S 0094. In April 2017 The Band Signed An Exclusive Artist Contract With RBW Entertainment And Were Renamed MAS Then Entering The Survival Show "The Unit". In June 2018 It Was Announced That The Band Would Re-Debut Under The New Band Name ONEWE. The Band Officially Re-Debuted As ONEWE On May 13 2019 With "Reminisce About All" In Their First Single Album "1/4". 'Rain To Be' is the title track of ONEWE's 1st mini album Planet Nine : Alter Ego. It was released on June 16th, 2021.
According to the song's main writer Kanghyun (ONEWE), 'Rain To Be' is inspired by how "every time ONEWE had a schedule, it would rain". The lyrics express a longing for the rains to come to cherish the moments spent together. The song's Korean title 비를 몰고 오는 소년 (The boy who brings the rain) uses the singular form of boy (소년) rather than boys (소년들) so that "the subject of the lyrics became two characters "you" and "me", and so he divided the characters into two: WEVE (fandom) and ONEWE" (Studio We: Make A Sound 'Planet Nine Alter Ego' 제작기 #1)
