Artist Biography For Paracont

In 1989 While Attending College At Osnabrück Germany Students Daniel Over And Oliver Cloppenburg Met And Bonded Over Their Mutual Appreciation Of Electronic Music And Dark Industrial Sounds And Decided To Try Their Hand At It. While Pursuing Their Studies In Economics The Duo Quietly Honed Their Skills At Composing Their Own Sound A Fusion Of Complex Brooding Electro-Industrial And Catchy Danceable EBM Music Under The Name Of Paralysed Control. Corresponding With Leading Electro-Industrial Artists At The Time Such As Marc Verhaeghen Klinik And André Schmechta A.K.A. Sevren Ni-Arb Of X-Marks The Pedwalk They Learned To Polish Their Dense Yet Crisp Atmospheric Sound To A Professional Quality. Shortening Their Name To Paracont And Operating Under The Pseudonyms Of Arkine Demag Daniel Over And Nevo U-Myn Oliver Cloppenburg In 1993 They Released Their First Track 'Statics' On Several Industrial Compilations By Gothic Arts Records And Celtic Circle Productions To A Warm Reception. A Compilation Appearance Led To Management Representation From Gothic Arts G.A. Records And The Collaboration With The Klinik On Their 1994 Split EP Brain/Get Out. With The Success Of This EP Came Their Signing With The ElectricBlue EBM/industrial Label Featuring Fellow Industrial Artists E-Craft & Prager Handgriff A Division Of Berlin-Based Ausfahrt Musikverlag And Backing To Produce Their First Full-Length Album. Recording Several Tracks At André Schmechta's Famous Industrial Focused T.G.I.F. Studios And Their Parent Label's Main Studio Resulted In Their Classic 1994 Full-Length Album Zoom Featuring The Electro-Industrial Masterpiece Track 'D-Ranged'. With The Growing Dominance Of House Techno And Trance Music And Even Prior Industrial Producers Such As Talla 2XLC Turning His Attention And In Ways Even His Zoth-Ommog Label More Towards That Direction Daniel & OIiver Spent The Next Several Years Exploring Production Of That Sound Under The Monikers Bounce #9 Laser Trance Team And Turbine 3 To Name Just A Few. Four Years After The Release Of Their First Album Insistence By Their Label To Meet Their Contractual Obligations And Release A Second Paracont Album Steered The Two Back To That Project. Whether Due To Several Years Focusing On Producing Techno Or Interference From Label Management The 1998 Follow-Up Album Xtra 1 Lacked The Stylistic Clarity Of Their Prior Work With Songs Wandering Between Techno Tracks New Beat And WaxTrax! Style Guitar Industrial. The Disjointed Album Wasn't Panned By Fans Or Critics But Neither Did It Receive The Praise Of Their First Album. Shorty Thereafter The Pair Abandoned Their Paracont Project Electro-Industrial & EBM And Turned Their Attention Back Towards Solely Producing Techno Trance Music.
