Artist Biography For Peat And Diesel

Peat And Diesel Are A Three-Piece Celtic Punk Band From Stornoway Consisting Of Calum ‘Boydie’ MacLeod On Vocals And Guitar Innes Scott On Accordion And Ully Macleod On Drums. The Band Was Formed In 2018 After Various Weekend Sessions At Each Other’s Houses. After Releasing Their Debut Single Salt And Pepper In December They Rose To Popularity Through Social Media And Playing At Festivals Such As Loopallu And Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. Uptown Fank Their Debut Album Was Released In April 2019 To National Acclaim. It Peaked At Number 12 In The Scottish Charts. The Band Won The Award For “Live Act Of The Year” At The 2019 Scots Trad Music Awards. After Further Touring The Band Released Light My Byre In January 2020 Peaking At Number 2 In The Scottish Charts And Entering The Top 30 In The UK Charts. They Later Embarked On A Sold-Out Tour In Support Of The Album. In April The Band Featured In A BBC Alba Documentary Series Produced By MacTV. It Went On To Win The “International Documentary Feature” Award At The Williamsburg International Film & Music Festival. In January 2021 The Band Released Live At The Barrowlands 2020 A Recording Of Their Sold-Out Show At The Iconic Glasgow Venue.
