Signed To EMI In June 1997 The Band Knuckled Down To Writing And Recording Their Debut. However EMI's Dogged Insistence That They Tour During This Period Caused This Process To Stretch For More Than A Year.
An Early Tour In January 1998 Saw The Band Ambark On A Contoversial Gruelling 38 Date Tour With Labelmates 'Catherine Wheel'.
Their Debut Single 'Resistor' Was Released Around This Time And Dented The Charts. Despite Pleas From The Band To Be Allowed To Finish Their Record EMI Forced The Band To Stay On The Road For Much Of The Spring/Summer Of 98.
Follow Up Single 'Black Shine' Faired Better And Was Awarded Single Of The Week In Kerrang! And Received Heavy Rotation On The Radio Helped Along By A Fabulous Charlie Clouser Nine Inch Nails Remix.
In September 1998 The Band Began A Long Period Of Intensive Touring Which Began With The Opening Slot For Terrorvision. In Rapid Succession Radiator Opened For The Backyard Babies Queens Of The Stone Age And Motorhead Before Embarking On A Lengthy U.K Tour With Pitchshifter In Febuary 1999. Around This Time They Released Their Third Single 'Make It Real' And In May Finally Released Their Long Awaited Much Delayed Debut. In The Summer Of 1999 The Band Embarked On An Infamous Tour Of Europe With Kory Clarke's Space Age Playboys. The Month Long Tour Saw Both Band And Crew Descend Into A Maelstrom Of Heavy Drinking And Drug Use. Although The Shows Were A Resounding Success The Heavy Touring Schedule Was Starting To Take A Steady Toll. In Stockholm Riley Baxter Wayward SAP Bassist Was Badly Beaten By His Own Road Crew After One Too Many Unsavoury Incidents. This Lead To Janne Jarvis Filling In As Temporary Bass-Player When SAP Supported Metallica In Milan At The End Of The Tour. The 1999 Summer Tour And It's Catalogue Of Meltsdowns Near Fatal Accidents Violence And The Exhaustion That Followed Began A Fast Decline In The Bands Fortunes. Nearly All Those Who Were At EMI When The Band First Signed Had By This Point Been Fired And The New Regime Were Already Demanding New Material. Around The Same Time The Band Itself Had Fired It's Manager Nick Dryden Due To Financial 'irregularities' And The Relationship Between Bassist And Main Songwriter Janne Jarvis And Vocalist Jack Cooke Had Began To Breakdown. In An Attempt To Salvage The Band And Rekindle Their Creativity The Band Decamped To A Cottage In Wales. Writing Proved Painfully Slow With Cook Reluctant To Contribute. Despite Some Final Recordings In The Spring Of 2000 Jarvis Pulled The Plug Soon After. In 2001 Jarvis Formed A New Band Elevation With Ex-3 Colours Red Members Pete Vuckovic And Keith Baxter. He Also Had A Brief But Turbulent Stint With Art-Rockers Queen Adreena. In 2006 He Formed Hate Gallery Who Released Their Debut 'Compassion Fatigue' On The Unit/SonyBMG In October 2008 To Critical Acclaim. Jarvis Has Also Reunited With Kory Clarke In The Legendary Warrior Soul. Current Hate Gallery Guitarist Rille Lundell Joins Him In WS. Warrior Soul Have Just Released Their New Record 'And We Rock'nRoll' Which Features Former Radiator Member Chris Rose On Drums.
