Raynald Colom Vincennes France 1978 Is A Catalan Jazz Composer And Trumpet Player. Colom Is Currently One Of The Most Popular Musicians On The Spanish Jazz Scene Particularly In Catalonia. In 2005 Following An Offer At The Mas Y Mas Festival In Barcelona He Released His First Album My Fifty One Minutes Featuring Antonio Serrano And Mulgrew Miller On The Fresh Sound New Talent Label. The Album Received A Very Favourable Reception By Both The Public And The Critics And Was Awarded The Enderrock Prize. In May 2008 He Completed His Second Sketches Of Groove Album Which Was Released On 25 November During The 40th Barcelona International Jazz Festival. His Latest Album Evocación Featuring Flamenco Guitar Player Chicuelo Was Released In 2009 And Featured At Several Festivals Such As The Grec Festival In Barcelona The Festival Internacional De Jazz In Vitoria-Gasteiz The Festival International De Jazz De Montréal And The Mercat De Música Viva De Vic. In September 2010 Raynald Colom Was Awarded The Puig-Porret Prize For Best Catalan Countries Artist At The Opening Ceremony Of The Mercat De Música Viva De Vic. He Has Recorded For Adrian Iaies Horacio Fumero Marcelo Mercadante Fermin Muguruza Jose Reinoso Luis Salinas Perico Sambeat And Albert Sanz. He Has Also Played With Albert Bover Randy Brecker Jesse Davis Robin Eubanks Chris Higgins Guillermo McGill Michael Philip Mossman Antonio Serrano And Louis Stewart.
