Throughout The Last 2.5 Years Indianapolis Indiana-Based Red Light Driver Has Been Making Sizable Waves With Their Atmospheric Blend Of Pop. RLD Formed In October 2006 With Members From Popular Midwest Acts Lunar Event The Shivers And Pop Lolita. The Band Comprises Of Derek Osgood Vocalist Guitar Player Mike "Shimmercore" Contreras Bass Guitar Player Multi-Instrumentalist Backing Vocalist Jonathan Harmon Guitarist And Drew Reed Drums And Percussion. During The First Year Of Formation The Band Released An EP "Drinks For The Delayed" - Which Found Its Way Onto The Playlists Of Many College And Commercial Radio Stations Allowing The Opportunity To Share The Stage With Indie Contemporaries Like VHS Or BETA Asobi Seksu The Mary Onettes And Many Others. In Early 2008 The Band Began Writing And Recording Music For "...And Now We Can Be Ourselves." Joining With Producer Paul "Mahan Kalpa" Mahern Of Zero Boys Fame The Band Began Moving In A Decidedly Different Direction - Conveying The Spirit Of Early The Jesus & Mary Chain Or The Influential Psychedelia Of Spacemen 3. Droned Out Telecasters And Bright Rickenbackers Collide Into Big Drums And Danceable Bass Lines - All Mingling To Form A Cohesive Moody Form Of Indie-Pop.
