Artist Biography For Rhythmic Tide
RHYTHMIC TIDE Is A Play On The Words "Sound Waves." RHYTHMIC TIDE Is A Musical Project For Singer/songwriter John Manly. With RHYTHMIC TIDE The Focus Is On Setting A Mood And Evoking Emotions Both Lyrically And Musically. Stylistically Influenced By Acts Of The 80's New Wave Era Such As Icehouse Gary Numan Pseudo Echo Amongst Others. Inspired By Iva Davies Icehouse Began Recording Tracks Such As "Wire And Walls" And "Pages Of Dusty Old Memories". In June 2007 Under The Name Of Rhythmic Tide Released Their First EP Titled "Wire And Walls." This Contained 4 Tracks. 'Wire And Walls' 'Pages Of Dusty Old Memories' 'Pandora's Box' And An Instrumental Track "Lost Frontier". This Was Followed In Early September 2007 With The Single "Depths Of Insanity". October 2007 Saw The Release Of The First RHYTHMIC TIDE Album 'MIND FRAGMENTS.' This Release Was A 50/50 Split Between Songs And Instrumentals. During The Recording Of 'MIND FRAGMENTS' John Developed An Interest In The Music Of Australian Industrial / Electronic Artists Such As Empty And Pask. With Positive Feedback From Several Other Artists Again Under The Name Of RHYTHMIC TIDE A Follow Up EP Was Release In May 2008 Titled "Sonic Interlude." This Consisted Of Four Instrumental Tracks. June 2009 Saw The Release Of The Second Rhythmic Tide Album Titled "The Color Of Blue." This Time Totally Consisting Of Instrumentals. 2010 Was A Relatively Quiet Year For Rhythmic Tide Releasing The Single "Thunder In The Tropics" In February. This Was Followed By A Compilation Of Rhythmic Tide Instrumental Tracks Called "Sound Waves" This Album Included Three New Tracks. 2010 Finished With The Release Of The Single "Fading Memories." The Abum "Phoenix Rising" Was Released In Late April 2011 Which Also Included The Single "Mesmerize Me" As Well As "Fading Memories." To Finish Of 2011 A Non- Album Single "Party Outback" Was Released. Which Combined The Sounds Of The Australian Digeredoo And A Modern Dance Feel Into The Track. April 2012 Saw The Release Of A Single "Ultra Groove" And A Second Compilation Album "Illusions Of Sonic Proportions" Which Was Released In Late April. And So The Adventure Continues….
