Robert Plant And Alison Krauss Met At A Tribute Concert To Leadbelly And Decided To Collaborate. They Crafted An Album Together In 2007 Titled Raising Sand. The Album Featured Production By T-Bone Burnett And Songwriting By Plant Tom Waits Sam Phillips Townes Van Zandt And Gene Clark Among Others. Throughout 2008 Plant And Krauss Along With Burnett Toured In Support Of The Album. The Tour Was Critically Acclaimed. On Feb. 8 2009 Raising Sand Took Album Of The Year Honors At The Grammy Awards. In Addition The Song "Please Read The Letter" A Plant/Page Composition Won Record Of The Year And Krauss And Plant Nabbed A Third Award For Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals. According To Ken Irwin Of Rounder Records And Producer Burnett The Duo Started Work On A Second Album In 2009. In A 2010 Interview Plant Indicated That The Follow-Up Sessions Were Unsuccessful. The Follow Up Album To Raising Sand Was Finally Released In November 2021.
