Born In Dublin Ireland And Moving To The East End Of London At The Age Of 3 Skinz Was A Very Shy Girl And Although A Great Fan Of Music It Was Not Until She Was In Her Early Twenties That She Desired To Pursue Music As A Career. During High School She Was Encouraged By Music Instructors Who Wanted To Boost Her Confidence To Joining Multiple Choirs And Eventually Performing Solo Pieces During End Of Year Music Recitals. In Order To Escape A Restrictive Home-Life She Joined The Local Chinese Dance Group. It Was As She Was Leaving To Go To University That Her Old Friend Blu Contacted Her. Her Love For Music Grew As She Was Introduced To New Genres That She Had Previously Ignored. After Graduating She Moved To Croydon. Inspired By The Passion For Music Of Her Friends Skinz Could See The Emotional Outlet Music Afforded Them. With The Encouragement Of Those Around Her She Began Toying With The Idea Of Music As A Career Option But A Lack Of Self-Confidence Quickly Caused Her To Quit. However The Artists Around Her Continued Their Support By Offering Skinz More Opportunities For Artistic Development First Under The Name Cahri And Then Ayla Skye. They Encouraged Her To Focus On Honing Her Song Writing Abilities And After Re-Inventing Herself As Skinz She Embarked On The Early Stages Of Her Own Recording Career. Skinz Main Influence Came From Artists Such As Celine Dion Dido Faith Hill The Dixie Chicks The Cardigans Sarah McLaughlin Sinead O’Conner The Corrs And Other ‘Girls With Guitars’ Skinz Is PRS & PPL Registered And Is Currently Writing And Recording Her Debut Album. read less
