Artist Biography For Stereo Sandwich

The Dutch Techno Duo Stereo Sandwich Consists Of The Dutch Born Andy Godderis And The Russian Born Igor Izo. Andy Was Born In Brussels Belgium Though Both His Parents Where Dutch. Still At A Young Age He Moved Back To The Netherlands And Soon Found An Interest In Turntables. He Was A DJ Creating The Beats For Example The Electro Band Excess In Several Bands While Making His Way Up To His Current Hometown Groningen. Igor Left Russia And An Early Age To Travel The World As A DJ. When He Came To The Netherlands He Immediately Knew That He Wanted To Live Here. Groningen Became His Hometown As Well And There He Met Andy At A Party In Het Platformtheater The Same Place Where Andy Had Recently Built A Small Music Studio. Right From The Start There Was A Shared Interest In Music Genres And A Love For DJ-Ing. It Was No Surprise That They Started Making Records Together Under The Name Stereo Sandwich. Soon After They Started To Organize There Own Techno/minimal/house/electro Parties. The First Series Where The Promising Oempa Loempa Parties Which Gained A Fare Share Of Enthusiasm. However They Hoped To Gain A Larger Audience And In 2009 They Started A New Series Of Parties Under The Name Nachtwerk Hosted In Het Platformtheater In Groningen. The New Formula Consisted Of Presenting Popular Names In The Scene Like Butch Format B Tomcraft Ramon Tapia Oliver Huntemann And Lutzenkirchen. Of Course They Also Presented There Own Work To Their Audience And Soon After They Signed A Recorddeal With Kraft And Are Soon To Release Ther First EP.
