“If There’s One Thing I’m Good At It’s Assembling People From Different Backgrounds And Making It Work As A Collective” States Patrick Naud Singer For The Call Up. Having Played With Most Of His Bandmates In Past Projects He Knew That This Mix Was Just Right. After Spending Most Of 2004 Writing Songs About Disappointments Break-Ups And The Bleak Human Condition He Recorded A Few Of Them And Passed Some Tapes Around. A Number Of Friends Came Knocking To His Door And Offered Just What He Needed. What Started As A Solo/studio Project Soon Became A Tight Unit. Fuelled By Disenchantments And Disgusted/ Bored To Death With The Current “disposable/fast-Food” Trend In Music And Entertainment They Set Out To Write Songs That Wouldn’t Sound Like Burger Commercials. Don’t Get Them Wrong They Love To Hum To The Sound Of A Great Pop Tune But C’mon.... How Many Pre-Fab Siliconed Motormouth Pierced & Tattooed Well-Mannered Gangsta Mall Punks Can You Handle?
