The Best Known Dutch Dixieland Jazz Band They Started Immediately After The Second World War And Have Survived In Different Line Ups. Although They Were Hugely Succesful In The Netherlands They Were An Amateur Orchestra. In 1960 They Became Professional Which Was A Reason For Some Of The Early Members To Leave The Band.
The Driving Force Behind The Band Was Peter Schilperoort Who Died In 1990. However The Band Continued Under New Leadership.
Their Most Succesful Period Was Between 1953 And 1963.
