The Explosion Is A Punk Rock Band Which Formed In Boston Massachusetts United States In 1998. For Most Of Their Career The Band's Lineup Consisted Of Matt Hock Vocals David Walsh Guitar Sam Cave Guitar Damian Genuardi Bass And Andrew Black Drums . Cave Left The Band In 2004 And Was Replaced By Christopher Gonzales. Over The Course Of Their Career The Explosion Issued Two Full Length Albums - "Flash Flash Flash" 2000 And "Black Tape" 2004 Three EPs And Had A Minor American Alternative Rock Radio Hit With "Here I Am" In 2004. After Leaving Virgin Records In 2007 The Band Disbanded Later That Year. The Explosion Later Regrouped For Reunion Concerts In 2011 2014 2016 And 2019.
