Artist Biography For The Memorials
Founded In December 2009 The Memorials Is A Project Spearheaded By Thomas Pridgen. After A Few Years As Drummer For The Mars Volta Thomas Turned His Attention To Forming His Own Group Which Would Incorporate A Range Of Styles As Diverse As The Experiences Of The Bands Members. Thomas Quickly Got In Touch With Friends And Former Students At Berklee College Of Music - Viveca Hawkins Vocals And Nick Brewer Guitars And Asked Them To Join Him In His Newest Endeavor. The Memorials SELF-TITLED Debut Album Was Recorded At The Zoo In Oakland California As Well As At Thomas’ Home Studio Between December 14th 2009 And Feb. 3rd 2010.
