There Are Several Artists With This Name. 1 Formed In 1980 In Wellington New Zealand From The Dregs Of The Ambitious Vegetables Led By Lead Singer Andrew Fagen Who Was Well Known As A Night Club Name At The Time. Their 1985 Hit Forever Tuesday Morning Has Become A Durable Kiwi Classic. The Band Eventually Broke Up In The Late 1980s After Releasing Five Albums With Fagen Going On To A Moderately Successful Local Solo Career. The Mockers Also Had Success With The 1985 Single 'One Black Friday' From The Album 'Culprit And The King'. The Song Is About A Riot In Queen Street Auckland NZ On Friday 7th December 1984. The Mockers And Other New Zealand Bands Performed In Aotea Square Queen Street On That Day. 2 An American Power Pop Band. Formed In The Late 80s In Virginia Beach VA By Tony Leventhal And Seth Gordon They Released Their First CD Somewhere Between Mocksville And Harmony In 1995. Living In The Holland Tunnel Followed In 2001. They Enjoyed Top 40 Success In Spain With Dejame English Version A Cover Of The Pop Hit Dejame By Los Secretos Which Was Featured On The Soundtrack For The Film La Fiesta In 2003. 2006 Saw The Release Of The Lonesome Death Of Electric Campfire Featuring The Emperor Strikes Out A Politically Charged Tribute To El Imperio Contraataca By Los Nikis.
