Artist Biography For The Predators

There Are Three Bands Known As The Predators. One Is A Three Piece Japanese Rock Super-Group The Second A Three Piece Australian Rock Band The Third A English 80's Christian Rock Band. The Japanese Group's Name Is Purely Capital Letters. 1 THE PREDATORS Are A Three-Piece Japanese Rock Super-Group Formed In 2005 By Vocalist And Guitarist 山中さわお Sawao Yamanaka Of The Pillows Bassist JIRO Of GLAY And Drummer ナカヤマシンペイ Shinpei Nakayama Of ストレイテナー Straightener . They Released Their First Album On July 6 2005 On An Independent Label Titled "Hunting!!!!" Followed By Subsequent Live Performances At A Number Of Summer Rock Festivals. By 2006 They Suspended Activities Together. On October 15 2008 THE PREDATORS Revived Activities And Released Their Second Mini Album "牙をみせろ" Kiba Wo Misero Followed By Their First Tour Titled SHOOT THE MOON TOUR At Various Zepp Venues Throughout Japan. They Have Since Recorded Three New Tracks "グッド・マナーズ" Good Manners "Good Bye Goblin" And The Instrumental Song "MEAT FACTORY". On August 4 2010 THE PREDATORS Released Their Latest Album "This World" Followed By Their Second Tour Titled THIS WORLD TOUR At Various Zepp Venues Throughout Japan. Their Latest Activity Was A Release Of Their Second Live DVD In 2011 Including Live Footage From Their Show At Zepp Tokyo In 2010 And Bonus Footage From A Small Show At Koenji High. 2 The Predators The Australian Group Is Compiled Of Three Of The Original Members Of Powderfinger - Ian Haug John Collins Who Are Both Still With The Band And Stephen Bishop Who Quit Before Powderfinger Became Famous . Haug Collins And Bishop Came Together To Write And Play Music And In 2006 They Recorded Their EP - Pick Up The Pace Tracks Can Be Heard In FM Player . 3 The Predators Were A Christian Rock Band Based In Manchester England And Were Active From 1979 - 1989. The Original Line Up Consisted Of Kevin Smith Vocs Kelvin Allwood Gtr Chris Thompson Bass And Fran Johnson Drums . Thompson Was Replaced By Andy Rayner In 1982 And Keyboard Player Brian Westhead Was Added Later The Same Year. In 1988 Allwood Was Replaced By Paul Truswell And Shortly Before They Split Dave Leyton Replaced Johnson On Drums. The Band Grew Out Of The Late 70s Post-Punk Movement Although Their Sound Developed Into A More AOR Style Later On. They Were Known For Their Energetic And Theatrical Live Shows. The Band Reformed For A Short Time In 2010 And Released Their Final Album "Roundabout".
