There Are Multiple Artists Named The Scholars. 1 THE SCHOLARS An English Indie Band 2007 - Present The Scholars Are An English Alternative Rock Band From Oxford. They Combine Conventional Alt/Rock With Elements Of New Wave Post-Punk And Electronica To Create Music That Is As Intricate And Varied As It Is Accessible. In April 2011 They Released Their Debut EP Entitled "Arrival/Departure" Which Is Currently Available In Limited Edition At Their Live Shows With An ITunes Release Impending In Late Spring. Early 2012 The Scholars Re-Released "This Hearts Built To Break" As Free Download With Following Up With Another Free Download In September 2012 With "Wired". 2013 Saw Another Single Released Early On With "Love The Thunder" Which Became Available On The Bands 'BandCamp' "Spooks" Is The Bands Latest Release Another Free Download.
