Artist Biography For The Sugi Tap

The Sugi Tap Is An Alternative/power-Pop Band Operating Since May Of 2005 And Formed By Former Eve 6 Members Max Collins Vocals Bass And Tony Fagenson Drums Background Vocals After Eve 6's Split. The Band Primarily Plays In Southern California Venues With The Slightly Altered Line-Up Of Max On Vocals And Guitar And Tony On Drums With Backing Musical Tracks With Very Sparce Electronic Elements. For Nearly A Year After The Announcement Of Collins And Fagenson Working Together No News Was Heard And In Late-Spring/early-Summer Of 2006 The First Update Was Given To The Old Eve 6 Community And The First Dates For Shows Posted. Max Gave An Interview Recently Revealing Some Details About The Sugi Tap Namely That -Don Gilmore The Producer Of Eve 6's First Two Albums Was Involved Albeit From "afar." -The Band Has Around 15 Recorded Demos Of Varying Quality. -The Band Will Be Changing Its Name Soon. Recently Mid-Late July 2006 The Sugi Tap Have Been More Involved With The MySpace Network Profile Here Promising The Release Of Some Of The 15 Recorded Demos The Band Has As Soon As The Sugi Tap Hit The 1 000 Friends Mark On MySpace. This Was Accomplished Quite Quickly In Large Part To Word-Of-Mouth. The Songs "Pick Up The Pieces" And "Mr. Bones" Were Made Public "Mr. Bones" Being A Reworked Song From Max's Short-Lived Solo Performances Brotherhood Of Lost Dogs. A Blog On The Band's MySpace Shortly After The Release Promised Another Two Songs To Be Posted When The Friend Count Hit 5 000. As Of Now The Sugi Tap Is Playing Shows With Some Scheduled In Southern California And Arizona Consistently Keeping In Touch With The Fan Community.
It Should Be Noted That The Name "The Sugi Tap" Is Taken From The Japanese Anime "Battle Royale." An E.P. Of Five Tracks Has Been Release Digitally In March 2007 Through The Snocap Music Store On Myspace. They Are Available Through Individual Purchase A "bonus Track" Is Available If The Entire E.P. Is Purchased. A CD Version Is Expected Later In 2007
