The SunS Were A Rock Band From Singapore Who Made A Name For Themselves In The Australian Independent Music Scene When They Relocated To Melbourne To Live The Rock'n'roll Life On The East Coast. Playing With Bands Such As Bagster And Sounds Like Chicken The Friendships Made Witht The Band Will Always Be Remembered. Drummer Wayne Thunder Passed Away In Singapore In 2007 Much To The Music Community Shock And Sadness. The SunS Http //www.Thesunsrock.Com Were A Band That Has Lived The Rock’n’roll Lifestyle Getting Arrested Getting Wasted And Getting Into Trouble With The Authorities. But That Was A Past History. Some Of You Might Have Known The Band As Its Previous Incarnation The Boredphucks. They Crashed Into The Collective Singaporean Underground Rock Consciousness Back In 1997 And Their Gigs Had Been Elevated To Legendary Status. In Their Heydays Of 1999 The Boredphucks Played The Perfect 10 98.7FM-Organized Localpalooza A Defunct Rock Festival And Uttered A Single Vulgar Hokkien Phrase Which Got Them Promptly Arrested. That Phrase Alludes To Other Folks’ Mothers’ Reproductive Organs And Still Is Used As A War Cry By Many Street-Fighting Local Gangsters. That Arrest Would Have Been Their Greatest Claim To Fame. And That Singular Act Effectively Shut The Band Down As Well. Fast-Track To 2004. The Trio Comprising Of Sanjeev Veloo Vocals/ Guitars Justin Roy Bass/ Backing Vocals And Wayne Seah Drums/ Backing Vocals Has Relocated To Melbourne Australia And Renamed Themselves Sanny Singer JBoss And WayneT Respectively. They Are Still Arrogant They Are Still Funny As Hell And They Still RAWK… Now Collectively Known As The SunS They Speak To Aging Youth About The Struggles Of Being A Full-Time Band In A Foreign Land How Getting Arrested Is No Fun At All And The Most Important Aspect Of Their Music Nope Not The Gear The Groupies.
