Tree Helicopter Is One Of Several Recording Projects Of C.P. McDill. The Others Are Saluki Regicide Djinnestan Akashic Crow's Nest Rowboat Magicians And Drone Wallah. Tree Helicopter's Initial Output Was In The Years 2003-2004 And Consisted Of The Album "Moon Calf" And The Long-Form Ambient Recording "Rain I" Both Of Which Are Available As Free Downloads From The Netlabel Webbed Hand Records. The Sound Of "Moon Calf" Is Diverse And Experimental But Unified By The Use In Each Track Of Samples From Shortwave Radio And From The CONET Project A 4-CD Collection Of Shortwave "numbers Station" Recordings Released By Irdial Records Which Is Also Available As A Free Download From The Internet Archive . "Rain I" Has Some Of The Characteristics Of The Latter But Is More Long-Form And Ambient. Tree Helicopter Has Lately Become Active Again And New Recordings Have Been Made Some Of Which Will Appear On A Tape Release Alongside Some New Works By Mystified. These Tracks And Others Will Also Appear On A Future Netlabel Release On Webbed Hand.
