Frogtoon Music - Song Info: Remember When

"Remember When" Is The Ninth Track Off Of Wallows' Debut Album Nothing Happens. The Official Music Video For The Song Premiered On January 17 2020 On YouTube. "We Had That Song Years Ago In A Completely Different Form We Played It In A Much More Of A Rock And Roll Sort Of Way. That Idea Was Mainly Just The Riff And A Very Different Arrangement Of That Song With Jibberish Lyrics We Played It Sometimes When We Had A Different Band Name. We Were In The Studio And We Wanted To Record A Few More Songs So We Were Trying To Dig In Our Brains “What Are Other Ideas We’ve Played Around With Before? That We Can Pull Out And Maybe Have Potential…” I Never Thought We’d Record That Song." – Dylan Minnette August 2019 "“Remember When” Had Been Written For A Super Long Time If You Look At Old Setlists Of Ours When We Were Kids Under Different Band Names This Song Actually We Used To Play It All The Time. It Was Called “Tree Hugger” – Terrible Title. When We Were Recording It Came Back Around Because We Needed A Few More Songs To Deliver To The Label We Just Took A Long Shot Shot In The Dark And Showed The Riff To John Congleton . We Thought It Was Super Lame But John Kept Telling Us ‘Well I’m A Producer It’s My Job To Try And Attempt To Make This Cool With You Guys.’ … We Started Working On It We Needed Another Part… Dylan He Played This Thing And It Was Recorded And John Went Back And Was Like ‘Wait This Is Really Cool!’ So That Became The Intro." – Cole Preston Via Nothing Happens Track By Track Commentary
