Firewoodisland Is A Norwegian/British Band Based In Bristol. Comprising Stian Vedøy Abi Eleri Vedøy Stephen Allen And Dylan Jones The Band Began As A Solo Project Of Stian Vedøy. They Describe Their Own Organic Sound As Celtic Viking Music. During The Sleepy Autumn Months Of 2010 Viking Descendant Stian Vedøy Set Sail In His Longship From Haugesund Norway To Embark On The Shores Of Cardiff South Wales. New Lands And Legends Soon Inspired Him To Begin His Journey In A Solo Project. With Humble Beginnings In Cardiff’s Local Club Koko Gorillaz The Music Grew In Popularity And Sound To Become A Group Of Dedicated Musicians Who Relish The Chance To Play Together. Subsequently They Toured Across The UK And Back To Norway Releasing Their Debut EP ‘ILD’ Earlier In 2014. In Addition The Band Were Regional Winners Of Norway’s Bandwagon Battle Of The Bands Have Won Amazing Radio’s Weekly Audition Twice And Headlined The Richer Unsigned Showcase In Association With Q Magazine.
