He Recorded Several 78rpms Some Of Which Can Be Found Today On Collections Of Gazel Music.Gazel Is A Traditional Turkish Form Of Music That Centers Around Vocal Improvisation. Sometimes The Voice Is Accompanied By Turkish Flute And/or Stringed Instruments. But The Focus Is On The Voice. The Practice Of Gazel Was Discouraged In Turkey In The Mid-20th Century Due To Its Association With Nightclubs. It Was In Danger Of Dying Out.
