Artist Biography For Halfway Between Here

Original Band Lineup Richard Wilson And Richard Norton. They Met At A Summer Camp Camp Beaumont On The Isle Of Wight In 2001. One Of The Camp Staff Lent Them A Guitar For The Week So That Rich W And His Two Friends Joe And Danny Could Write Songs Play Songs And Generally Entertain People. It Went Down A Treat With The Other People There Even Though Rich W Had Only Been Playing The Guitar For 4 Months And Was Seemingly The Most Experienced One Of The Group. He Met Rich N After A Couple Of Days Of Entertaining When Rich N Realised He Was Playing Green Day - Good Riddance/Time Of Your Life In The Wrong Key As It Had Been Worked Out From Memory. Rich N Offered To Show How It Was Played And From That Moment They Became Firm Friends. The Two Continued To Meet Up Through The Year Either At Rich N's Home In Maidstone Or At Rich W's Just Outside London For A Few Days Every Couple Of Months. They Always Jammed As Much As They Could When They Met Up. The 4 Returned To The Camp The Following Year This Time Ready And Prepared Armed With Their Own Guitars Enabling Them Both To Play With Danny Backing Up Rich W's Vocals. They Played All Over The Campsite At The Camp Fire On A Few Occasions And Playing Their Own Gig At The End Of The Week 2nd Week. Again The Two Met Up Continuously Through The Next Year Often When Rich W Visited Rich N To Help Out His Band Broadview As Their Official Roadie Whenever He Could. Rich N Played Bass In Broadview For A Few Years Before Mike Lead Vocals/guitar Had To Leave For University Bringing The Band To A Stop. Another Year Passed And This Meant Another Summer At The Camp With Much The Same Playing And Writing Of Songs Keeping Them And Others Amused For Many A Day. Unfortunately Their Ever Increasing Age Meant That This Was The Last Time They Could Go To The Camp And Probably The Last Chance To See A Number Of Friends And Fans They Saw There Each Year. The Following Year Saw More Practicing And The Realisation That They Should Record Some Of The Music. Rich W Had Been Doing A Music Technology A-Level Course And This Gave Him The Opportunity To Do The Initial Recording Of Loving You Enough To Leave But On His Own - Playing And Recording All 8 Tracks Himself! The Other Recording For The Coursework Was A Cover Of Jimmy Eat World - My Sundown Which Due To Copyright Reasons Cannot Be Released To The Public Sorry! It's A Shoddy Performance Anyway! . They Recorded Their First EP This Beautiful Misunderstanding In July 2004 At Bonafide Studios In London And Played Some Fesivals Including The Peace One Day Festival In Maidstone At The End Of That Summer. Unfortunately The End Of That Summer Saw The Split Of Broadview And Rich N's Move To Lead Vocals And Guitar In His New Band Kicking Chloe. It Also Saw Rich W Move To Sheffield For University Where He Was Determined To Keep The Music Going. Due To The Fact That They've Now Moved To Different Areas Of The Country Rich W Is Still Continuing As A Solo Project Continuing To Write All The Lyrics And Music. Of Course The Two Will Most Likely Do Gigs Together Still Whenever They Can. Since Then Rich W Has Mainly Been Playing Open Mic Nights Predominantly At Open Space On Thursday Nights At The University Union As Well As At The Nottingham And The Bedroom And The Red House. Gigs Are Looking Hopeful For The Near Future And Rich Is In The Process Of Finding A New Backing Guitarist And Hopefully Backing Vocals Too. Rich Norton Has Since Been Busy With A Music Degree At Brighton Istitute Of Modern Music BIMM And Found Himself In Yet Another Band Keeping Enemies Close For A While. Now He Plays Guitar For My Last Mistake Along With His Girlfriend Lea.
