Jahzeel Was Born On May 20th 1984 In Crown Heights Brooklyn New York And Lived There Until He Was Five Years Old. Then His Family Moved South To Saint Petersburg Florida In The Hoods Of Child Park & Gulf Port. By The Age Of 6 His Passion For Writing Had Driven Him To Write Short Stories & Poems. His Parents Being From Two Different Cultures His Father Born And Raised In The Slums Kingston Jamaica And His Mother In Bonao Dominican Republic Played A Huge Role In His Diverse Lifestyle. Growing Up Jahzeel Didn't Want To Categorize Himself To Any Particular Race But Rather Embraced Both Sides. The People Music Food Culture & Traditions Of Both Jamaica & The D.R. Jahzeel's Mother Taught Him Everything About The Dominican Culture And His Family History As Did His Father Especially About How The Music Was Created And The Traditional Dancing And Celebrations. He Didn’t Learn Much Spanish But Enough To Be Able To Communicate With Family Still Abroad. Jahzeel Is The Middle Child To His Father But The First Born To His Mother. Jahzeel Has An Older Sister But Barely Even Knows Her And Has A Younger Brother That Was Around Him For The Better Part Of His Life. By The Time Jahzeel Was Eight Years Old His Parents Argumentative Ways Had Him Either In His Room Listening To Music Or Outside Introducing Him To The Street Life Thus Opening His Eyes And Mind To A Whole New Lifestyle. Around Age Ten His Parents Separated Causing His World Crumble Right In Front Of His Very Own Eyes. By Age Twelve Jahzeel Was Gaining More Passion For Music Listening To Old School 60's 70's And 80's Artists Such As Al Green Marvin Gaye James Brown Bob Marley Kool & The Gang The Commadors Blue Magic Rick James Billy Ocean Michael Jackson The Fatt Boyz And Afrika Bambatta All The Time But Was Also Falling Victim To The Street Life. Being Arrested For The First Time In His Life For Stealing. At That Time Jahzeel Started To Get Deeper Into Poetry Reading Stories From Shakespeare Homer Edger Allen Poe R.L. Stein Etc.! At The Same Time Still Falling Deeper Into The Street Hanging Around With Gang Members And Drug Dealers. By The Age Of Fourteen Jahzeel Was In High School Learning How To Play The Saxophone Still Hanging On The Street So Much That He Barely Even Went To School But Only To His Music Class. Jahzeel's Father Being Frustrated By His Behavior Kick Him Out Of The House Causing Him To Begin Sleeping At The Park At Night And Hustling During The Day Time Just To Survive. But Still Jahzeel Managed To Make It Into His Music Class. He Stood On The Streets For About Six Months Straight Living A Life Of Crime And Ducking Police Every Day. Until Finally His Father Shipped Him Off To Dallas Texas To Live With His Mother. Not Wanting To Leave His Brother Behind Jahzeel Came To Dallas With His Mindset On The Street Life And No Hope. Around Age Sixteen He Was Deeply Into Hip-Hop Writing His First Song In Summer School. It Was At That Time He Began To Regain And Strengthen His Passion For Music Again. Later Meeting Some People In Dallas That Shared His Passion Music And The Streets Forming His First Rap Group Called "Youngstaz". Members Included Smokey Loc And Baby G. At That Time The Group Became More Like The Local Crew Adding More Members But Only Four Where Rapping Including Jahzeel. Started Off With Nothing But A Karaoke Machine That Jahzeel Received On His Birthday Youngstas Started To Write Songs As A Group At The Same Time Getting Into More Trouble Putting Jahzeel Back Into The Streets. That's When He Started Getting Into Fights Everyday And Weeks With Other People From His School And Even On The Streets. Knocking Young Jahzeel's Focus Off The Music Once Again. Yet Trying His Best To Stay On The Right Path Of His Music Career By Battling Other M.C's. In The Local Area's With One Old Friend Baby G. Moving Around Dallas From Being Kicked Out Of School Jahzeel Ended Up In A Suburban Neighborhood Of Dallas Known As Carrollton Where He Continued To Battle Against Local Rappers From His New School. Where He Met Other Artists Such As Tigger & Deuce Who After Hearing His Freestyles In The Hallways Of The School Brought His Attention To Other MC's Such As Young Vell & ATG Who He Battled Against. Deuce Jahzeel & Tigger Became Real Good Friends Starting Up Their Own Click Known As "CN". That's When Jahzeel's Mind Really Drifted Away From The Music Into The Street And Gang Life. By The Age Of Seventeen Jahzeel Was Once Again Kicked Out Of Another School And Feeling Lost In The World. Confused About Life And What He's Was Supposed To Do He Turned Back To The One Thing He Always Knew Would Be There For Him The Music. Beginning To Research Ways To Record And Produce His Music On His Own From Home. Determined To Be Better Than He Has Been Jahzeel Once Again Writing His Music And Poetry And Recording It From Home On His Pc. His Dedication To Music Has Even Influenced Many Of His Other Friends To Pursue And Showcase Their Musical And Artistic Talents. Jahzeel Came Out With His First EP/Mixtape Called "It's My Life" Which Created A Lot Of Buzz Around The Neighborhood For Him And Also Motivating His Homies Deuce And Tigger And Many More To Start Recording Music With Jahzeel Helping Out With Production. And Now Ten Years Later Jahzeel Still Continues To Pursue His Musical Career Stronger And More Passionate Than Ever. read less
