Leyaks' Tunes Are Instrumental. They Blend Melodic Post-Rock Math Electronica Psychedelic And Heavy Rock Influences With Their Own Experiments In Sound Playing Techniques And Frequent Changes Of Style And Pace. They Are Rumoured To Be Inspired By Balinese Black Magic... Leyaks Was Formed In The Summer Of 2007 In London UK Between Three Long-Standing Mutual Friends Sharing Similar Musical Tastes And Ambitions Harry Foster Drums Laptop Dulcimer Michael Day Synth Laptop Bass Guitar Visuals And Mark Martines Guitar . Soon After The Band Was Joined By Tim O’Donoghue Guitar Circuit-Bending And Together They Began To Transform The Fruits Of Their Sonic Experimentation Into A Live Set. When Michael Stepped Down His Involvement Nick Cardy Bass Drone Machine Baritone Guitar Was Added To Roster As A Permanent New Member To "add More Sonicness To Their Experimentation" And On Special Occasion Leyaks Can Still Be Seen Playing As A Five Piece. Toys Traditional Instruments And Samples All Make An Appearance Alongside Guitars Drums Bass And Synths. Leyaks Have A Strong DIY Ethic. Their First Self-Titled 3 Track E.P.
