Paraziții Romanian For "The Parasites" IPA Pa.Ra.'zi.Tsiː Is A Romanian Three-Man Rap Group Founded In 1994 In Bucharest. It Consists Of Cheloo Cătălin Ștefan Ion Ombladon Bogdan Ionuț Pastaca And FreakaDaDisk Petre Urda . They're Well Known For Their Campaigns Against Heavy Use Of Playback In Romanian Music And Against The National Audiovisual Council CNA . The Group Was Subject To Restrictions By The National Audiovisual Council Due To Heavy Language. Television And Radio Stations Were Fined For Playing Some Of Their Videos/songs And Two Videos Were Banned Outright. This Motivated Their Song "Jos Cenzura!" "Down With Censorship!" Which Criticized The Social Democratic Government And Was Released Shortly Before The Local Elections In June 2004. Cheloo Then Going By The Name "Tenny-E" Starts The Hip-Hop Project Paraziții. In May Of The Same Year He Is Joined By Ombladon Then Known As B.I.P. . The First Song They Record Is În Jur On September 13 1994. A Day Later They Have Their First Concert At The Freshman's Ball From Spiru Haret High School In Bucharest. In The Winter Of 1994 DJ Ies Joins The Group. Their First Album Poezii Pentru Pereți Produced Independently Is Released On June 15 1995 Making Them The Second Hip-Hip Group To Release An Album In Romania After R.A.C.L.A. And Before B.U.G. Mafia. Their Success Attract The Attention Of Digital Records Which Leads To Their Second Album Nimic Normal Released On March 5 1996. On June 23 1997 Paraziții Releases Their Third Album Suta Which Would Go On To Become The Best Romanian Rap Album Of The Year. Sales For This Album Exceed All Expectations And Paraziții Enters Of Very Busy Period With Many Concerts Around Romania And Several Compilations Containing Their Songs. After A Number Of Radio Shows On Radio FM4 Austria Dedicated To The Romanian Hip-Hop Scene Which Paraziții's Manager Had Arranged The Group Attracts The Attention Of Austrian Movie House Lotus Film. Paraziții Are Given The Opportunity To Work On The Soundtrack Of Nordrand A German-Austrian-Swiss Co-Production. Thus In March 1999 The Group Becomes The First Romanian Rap Act To Be Featured On The Soundtrack Of A Movie With Payed Royalties A Soundtrack Which Also Features Ace Of Base Neneh Cherry Kelly Family Or Leila K. In March 1999 Paraziții Also Begin Their Official Collaboration With Rebel Music The First Underground Music Romanian Label Specialized In Management And Music Production. In April 1999 They're Featured On The "Hip-Hop Murale" Compilation Produced By A&A Records Which Contains Two New Paraziții Songs. Around This Time DJ Ies Ends His Official Affiliation With Paraziții Although He Will Appear On One More Album. Tenny-E Is Now Known As Cheloo And B.I.P. As Ombladon. On July 14 1999 They Release Nici O Problemă With A&A Records. This Album Marks A Number Of Firsts For Paraziții And Solidifies Their Status As A Leading Romanian Hip-Hop Group. Nici O Problemă Is The First Album To Feature FreakaDaDisk A Prolific DJ Formerly Associated With Morometzii. It's Also Their First Album To Be Released On CD And The First To Feature A Video. In August 1999 Their Video For Bagabontzi '99 Manages To Equal The TV Audience Record Of Atomic TV Music Television. On July 21 2000 They Release Yet Another Album Iartă-Mă. The Release Is Marked By A Concert In Bucharest At Disco Max. Another Album Follows In 2001 Categoria Grea. They Shoot A Video For The Lead Song Of The Album Also Called Categoria Grea Which Would Shortly Be Subject To Censorship A First Of Several Such Cases . In 2002 The Record Label For Their Last Two Albums - Alpha Sound Ends Its Business And Paraziții Are Forced To Move Yet Again This Time To Roton. Here They Release A Single În Focuri That Also Gets An Unprecedented For Romania Video That Has No Music. This Single Will Then Be Featured On Their November 2002 Album Irefutabil. This Album Becomes Their Best Selling Record With 140 000 Copies FreakaDaDisk Also Becomes An Official Member Of The Group. Paraziții Will Shoot Another Video This Time For The Song Bad Joke But It To Will Be Censored By The National Audiovisual Council. This Is Followed By Another Video For The Song Necomercial. 2003 Marks The Year Of The First Solo Effort By One Of The Group Members Cheloo's Sindromul Tourette. Vicii From This Album Gets A Video Featuring Bitză. In 2004 Ombladon Follows Suit With His Solo Album Condoleanțe. His Video For Egali Din Naștere Featuring Raku Will Win The 2004 Romanian MTV Video Music Awards. Paraziții Begin An Anti-Censorship Campaign Targeted At CNA Which Spawns A New Single Jos Cenzura! Whose Video Features A Number Of Important Romanian TV Personalities But Also Hustler President Larry Flint. The Winter Of 2004 Marks The First Paraziții Release On Their Own Independent Label 20 CM Records And The Departure From Rebel Music. This Is A Two-CD Best Of Compilation Primii 10 Ani Which Celebrates Their Ten-Year Anniversary. A New Song Fuck You Romania Is Included On The Album And Also Gets A Video. In August 2005 A New Single Also Featuring A Video Is Released - Violent. It Is The Followed By The First Paraziții LP In 3 Years Confort 3. This Latest Album Spawns Another Conflict With CNA As The Video For Praf Is Judged To Advocate Drug Consumption. After A Second Videoclip Is Shot Paraziții Takes Another Break Allowing Ombladon And Cheloo To Release New Solo Albums. On March 30 2006 Cheloo Releases His Second Solo Album Called Frabricant De Gunoi. The Lead Song Operațiunea Cur Pansat Also Gets A Video. A Second Video Is Released For Smoke Flow A Joint Effort With Killarmy. In April 2007 A Video Is Released For The Song Noapte Bună București Featuring Guess Who From Anonim This Will Be The Lead Single Of Cel Mai Prost Din Curtea Școlii Ombladon's Second Solo Album. Later That Year Paraziții Releases Its Ninth Studio Album Called Slalom Printre Cretini Probably Their Most Ambitious Effort To Date. Among It's Many Foreign Guests The Album Features A Song With Raekwon Of Wu-Tang Clan Fame. In June 2009 Paraziții Joins Realitatea TV's Campaign "Noi Vrem Respect!" We Want Respect! . In Support Of This Campaign They Release A Song With The Same Name. Three Videos Are Also Recorded For This Album For Mesaj Pentru Europa Din Colțul Blocului And De Ziua Ta. On October 6 2009 The Group Releases A Remix Album Of Their Previous Studio Effort Called Slalom Printre Cretini REMIX Which Also Contains Two New Songs. Due To Difficulties In Accessing A Solid Distribution Network The Band Decides To Promote Its Album By Selling It With Gazeta Sporturilor Newspaper. The Latest Paraziții Album Tot Ce E Bun Tre' Să Dispară Is Released On June 15 2010 Also With Gazeta Sporturilor A Newspaper Gathering Fame For Its Support Of Many Groups And Artists. A Video For The Song Arde Featuring Mr. Levy Is Recorded In Support Of This Album. After Its Release Cheloo Continues Work On His Third Solo Album Which Is Released On March 24 2011 And Is Called CelCareUrăște. Two Videos Are Shot For This Album For The Songs Sau And Unde Se Termină Visele. This Album Also Features A Song That Marks A Radical Departure From Cheloo's And Paraziții's Traditional Style - Periculos Is A Song That Fuses His Traditional Rapping With Rock Music.
