STONUS Is A Five Piece Heavy Rock Band With Psychedelic And Stoner Influences From Nicosia Cyprus Created In 2015. After Releasing Two Demos "Admit It" And "Burning Mushrooms" And A Single "Coming In" On August 2017 They Released Their First EP "Supertrip" Consisting Of Five Songs "Supertrip" "H.E.L" "Save Me" "Driven" And "Black Rainbow" And Later On The Same Year The Single “Memories” Was Released.
They Are Characterised By Their Energetic Performances And Their High Voltage Sounds Resulting In A Psycho/stoner Party Out Of This Planet. 2017 Was The Most Active Year Of The Band As They Played All Around Cyprus Including Unity Fest Power Of The Night Festival XII Ayia Napa Youth Fest Hard Rock Café Rising Nicosia Rock Festival School Of Rock And Many More As Well As Opening For The Band MINUS ONE.
They Were Presented In National Television At RIK-Entexnos As Well As In Various National Radio Shows Including Astra’s “Alpha Ston Kiklo” Channel’s 6 “Rolling Stones” And At Robert Camassa’s Show At RIK 3. They Also Participated In The Auditions For Schoolwave Festival In Greece.
In 2018 They Got In The Recording Studio For One More Time And In A Month They Managed To Record Their New Album “Lunar Eclipse” Under The Supervision Of Minor Underground CY .
The New Album Contains Influences From Stoner Psychedelic And Doom Rock Which Integrates To The Production Of A More Mellow Psychedelic Trip. Stonus Aim To Participate To Festivals All Around Europe In Order To Promote As Well As To Share Their Love And Passion For Music Stigmatising Their Position In The European Stoner Scene As The Only Cypriot Stoner Rock Band.
Their First Live Abroad Was In London On The 22nd Of October Were They Managed To Receive A Very Positive Response From The Audience By Filling The Venue While Presenting Their New EP. Source Downtuned Magazine read less
