Tervakello Is An Orchestra Using Mainly Traditional Instruments. The Basic Instruments Are Udu-Drums. With Udu-Drums The Tervakello Conjures Up Shamanistic Constant Sound Scenery. Also The Wind Instruments Have Especial Role In The Music. Tervakello’s Music Is Based On Improvisation And Ambience Even The Pieces Have Some Basic Terms.
Tervakello’s First Album Was Released In 7.5.2004. The Album Was Recorded At Tytyri Mine Museum In Lohja Finland On The 110 Meter Level. Teho Majamäki And Heikki Savolainen Recorded And Produced The Album. The Recording Process Excellently Managed To Catch The Tervakello’s Musical Landscape And The Clearly Sensible Mining Milieu With The Water Drops And The Stones Crashing Into The Mining Abyss.
Tervakello Saw Its Earnest Birth In The Spring Of 2002. Though The Idea Of This Kind Of Musical Experience Had Been Flourishing Already For Few Years. Tervakello Has Been Honored To Perform In Dance Festivals Medieval Festivals Kaustinen Folk Music Festivals Concerts And Pubs. Tervakello Has Also Been Creating Music Into Theatre Pieces And Animations. The Musicians With Prime Instruments Are Ville Matti Simonen Udu Birch Bark Flute
